Children with Joshua/2 Ayars:

Keziah/4w Brooks, mentioned in her father's probate, 10 Feb 1715/165, married, as his 1st wife, 18 Apr 1723 at Bowentown, New Jersey, Joshua/2 Ayars, son of Robert/1 Ayars and Esther ?Bowen,4,6,1,7 with whom she had three children.8 Husband and wife were both Seventh Day Baptists.1 (Joshua's nephew Caleb Ayars and Keziah's sister Patience Brooks also married.)
     Keziah died 1 May 1749.4,1 Joshua married (2), 18 Mar 1753, Anna/2 Swinney, had further issue7,9, and died at Shiloh 3 May 1759.10,7 Keziah is buried with Joshua and his 2nd wife in the Seventh Day Baptist Cemetery, Shiloh.11

Patience/4w Brooks, born 7 Apr 1698 at Bowentown, New Jersey3,4, was mentioned in her father's probate, 10 Feb 1715/16.5 She married, 29 Mar 1717 at Shiloh, Caleb/3 Ayars, son of Isaac/2 Ayars and Hannah Barrett, with whom she had 10 children.1,6,2,4 She died after 17397, and Caleb on 7 Aug 1771.4

Zebulon/4w Brooks was probably born about 1689/90, at Swansea, Massachusetts or Cohansey, West Jersey, to whence his family removed about this time.3 He married, in West Jersey, Esther ?Wills.4 Mentioned in his father's will, 26 Jan 1715/16.1
     "The sons of Rev. Timothy [Brooks] located on farms near their father north of the Cohansey ..."5,4 The will of Zebulon Brooks of Cohansey, dated 7 Mar 1744/5, proved 3 Feb 1748, mentions wife Esther, children John, Zebulon, Joseph and Mary.4

Seth/4w Brooks, born 19 Jan 1688/89 at Swansea, Massachusetts3,1, removed as a boy with his family to Cohansey, West Jersey, and married, by 1711 at Cape May, New Jersey, Rachel Cresse. "[Rachel] was of an old Cape [May] family whose forebears had originally settled on Long Island in the early 1600s," says Black.4,5 They lived for a time in Cape May County.4 Seth and Rachel helped to found Cape May Court House Baptist Church, the first of that denomination in the county, in 1711/12, and Seth's father Rev. Timothy Brooks presided over the formal dedication of the new church.6,7
     "Seth returned to Cohansey in about 1716 to erect 'the Bridge' across the Cohansey River at Bridgetown (now Bridgeton). This is reported in Lucius Q.C. Elmer's History of Cumberland County (1869)," Black writes.6 Mentioned in his father's will, 26 Jan 1715/16.8 He lived at Bridgeton before his death in 1738.6
