Sarah B. Kingsbury married, as his 1st wife, 7 Apr 1842 (int. 5 Mar, York, Maine), Chandler/6k Brooks, then of Eliot, son of William/5k Brooks and Prudence Hammond.1,2 The 1850 census recorded Chandler (a. 36, carpenter, no estate reported), Sarah (a. 35), and daughter Mary (a. 8, student) in their household at Kittery, Maine.3 Sarah died 14 Mar 1852 (g.s.), "aged 38 yrs."4 Chandler remarried in 18561,5, died 9 Sep 1890, a. 786, and is buried with Sarah and his 2nd wife in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Eliot.7

Dea. Joshua/6k Brooks, born 19 Mar 1814 at Eliot, Maine,(g.s.)2, married (1), 17 Dec 1839 at North Hampton, New Hampshire, Ruth Leavitt Dearborn of North Hampton, daughter of Samuel Dearborn and Ruth Leavitt.3
     They lived at Portsmouth, New Hampshire, where in the 1840 census they comprised a household of two.4 In 1850 their Portsmouth household included Joshua (a. 36, conductor), Ruth Ann (a. 35), and children Ana Abby (9), Mary A. (6), and Ruth L. (4), all in school.5
     Joshua's wife Ruth died 9 Apr 18526, and he married (2), 1853, Eliza A. Sanborn, daughter of Jeremiah Sanborn and Esther Smith.7,8
     The 1860 census recorded Joshua (flour merchant, r.e. $2500, p.e. $2000), Eliza A. (a. 46), and the same three children at Portsmouth.9 In 1870 Joshua's census household consisted of himself (a. 56, corn/flour dealer, r.e. $3500, p.e. $8000), wife Eliza (a. 50), and his married daughter Ruth Walker (a. 24) with husband Asa (a. 25) and daughter Ruth (a. 1).10
     Joshua died at Portsmouth 20 Jan 1877 (1878, g.s.), a. 6311,12, and his widow Eliza 12 Apr 1888, a. 74-6-5.13 He is buried with both wives and daughter Mary Alice in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Eliot.2

Guptill and Harriet S. (–?–). No issue.1,4 He died 26 Aug 1917 (g.s.), a. 855, and she 23 Nov 1922 (g.s.), a. 78.3 They are buried in the lot next to her parents in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Eliot.4

Hannah is buried with their son Everett in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Eliot.1
