Dea. Henry/4 Burt Jr., 2nd so-named, was born 4 Jan 1693 at Springfield, Massachusetts1, where he married, 22 Mar 1720, Bethia/3 Terry, daughter of Thomas/2 Terry and Mary/2 Cooley.2,3
     A first settler of the new town of Brimfield, at the first town meeting he was chosen one of two tithingmen.2 "His name appears in the report of the committee on land grants dated 9 Sep 1730, in which each person named in his group was allotted 80 acres. This report was rejected and, on 17 June 1731, he was granted 130 acres."2 9 Nov 1731, one of a committee of three elected to oversee completion of the meeting-house.2 27 Mar 1732, the town voted to establish a bridge over Chickuppee Brook by Henry Burt's.2
     "On 12 Sep 1757 his widow was seated in the foreseat below, on the women's side of the meeting-house, so he must have died before that date."4 She died at Brimfield 21 Mar 1776, a. 81.5
