Children with Henry/1 Burt:

Ulalia/1 Marche was born at Sherford, Devonshire. Of Dean Prior, Exeter in the marriage license (23 Dec), there she married, 28 Dec 1619, Henry/1 Burt, son of Henry/a Burt and Isott (–?–).1,2 "He emigrated to New England probably in the spring of 1639 and probably with his wife and 7 children, 2 children having died in England."1 Henry Burt died 30 Apr 1662 at Springfield, Massachusetts.3,4 Ulalia died there 29 Aug 1690.5,6
     The will of Ulaliah Burt of Springfield, dated 27 May 1684, proved 30 Sep 1690, probated 30 Dec 1690, bequeathed to daughter Sarah, two milch cows or kine; to daughter Abigaile, my cloake, green apron, coat & shift; to daughter Mary, "an heifer"; to daughter Elizabeth, two milch cows or kine; to daughter Patience, flocke bed at the Medow, pillow case, sheets, coverlet, etc. and one-half my cloth at the weavers after two yards are taken off for Abilene Bagg; to daughter Mercy, the other half of the cloth and the serdge her husband sent me for a waist coate, pair of sheets, etc; to son Jonathan, the lot my husband bought of George Lancton and my best brass kettle to bestow upon his son Henry, also to Jonathan, the pillow and pillow case at his house; to son David, my oldest yoke of cattle and an old brass pan; to son Nathaniel, great brass kettle and 4 acres of land to bestow if he be good upon his eldest son after his decease; and to son Nathaniel's daughter Rebecca, my scarfe and cambricke neck cloth, also yarn, wool and pillow at the medow; and the rest of the estate "as there is most need" according as the executor see cause. Sons Jonathan and Nathaniel were named executors. Ulaliah signed by mark, witnessed by Benjamin Parsons Sr. and John Holyoke.7
     "The Rev. Dr. Ezra Stiles, a noted clergyman, and from 1778 to 1795 the President of Yale College, was directly descended from Henry and Eulalia Burt, through their daughter, Dorcas, who married John Stiles of Windsor. Dr. Stiles prepared in 1764 a genealogy of his family, in which he says: 'There is a tradition in the family that the mother of this Dorcas Burt, before she came over from England, was laid out for dead and put in her coffin, but at her funeral signs of life appeared, and she recovered and came to New England, settled at Springfield, and here in America had nineteen children, ten of whom lived to have children, one of whom was this Dorcas.' Like most oral traditions, there are in this some discrepancies …"8

William/1 Warriner, an inhabitant of Springfield, Massachusetts 1638, there married, 31 Jul 1639, Joanna Searle, with whom he had 3 children.1 Took the oath of fidelity at Springfield, 6 Feb 1648/492, where Joanna died 7 Feb 1660/61.3 He married (2), 2 Oct 1661, Elizabeth Gibbons, widow of Luke/1 Hitchcock of Wethersfield4, and died 2 Jun 1676.3 His widow married (3) Joseph/1 Baldwin of Hadley, and died a widow 25 Apr 1698 at Springfield.5

Alexander/1 Alvord married, 29 Oct 1646 at Windsor, Connecticut, Mary/2 Vore, daughter of Richard/1 Vore and Ann Harris.2,3 He was one of 30 residents of Northampton, Massachusetts, who petitioned the General Court, 1671, for leave to establish a plantation at Squakheag (later Northfield), having already purchased the land from the Indians.4 He died at Northampton 3 Oct 1687.5
