Lt. John/1 Wyman, baptised 3 Feb 1621 at Westmill, Hertfordshire2, was a subscriber to the first town orders of Woburn, Massachusetts, 18 Dec 1640.3 He married there, 5 Nov 1644, Sarah/2 Nutt, daughter of Miles/1 Nutt and Sarah Branson, with whom he had 10 children.4,5 28 Mar 1667, Francis Kendall, John Wyman, Thomas Peirce, John Brooks and Samuel Walker Sr. were appointed a committee of "wright proprietors" to distribute common land at Woburn. The committee received as compensation "for the truble and pains that they were at," "seven acres of make meadow or swamp."6 John Wyman was appointed guardian of Joseph/2 Farrar, 1678.7
