Benjamin/2f Brooks, born 17 Oct 1685 at Stratford, Connecticut2,3, was named as only son in his father's will, 11 Mar 16941, and baptised 12 Jan 1695 at the First Church, Fairfield, a. 9, probably in conjunction with his father's impending or actual death.4 He married, 12 Mar 1712/13 at Stratford (also rec. New Milford), Mary Booth, widow of Agur Fairchild1,5, who died 2 Nov 1740.1
     His will, dated 17 Dec 1745, and proved 7 Jan following, mentions daughters Mary Brooks and Abiah Brooks, sons John and David. Executors, sons John and David; witnesses, Edmund Lewis, Ephraim Clark, and Thomas Uffoot.1,6 He died at Stratford 30 Dec 1745 at age 60.2,1 His inventory, taken 17 Jan 1745/46 by Daniel Hawley and William Lamson, was filed 4 Feb following.6
     Benjamin and his wife are interred in the Old Congregational Burying Ground, Stratford.1,7
