George/1 Farley was an early inhabitant of Woburn, Massachusetts, his name on the town's first tax assessment list, dated 8 Sep 1645.1 There he married, 9 Apr 1641, Christian Births.2
     As a Baptist, he was prosecuted by the authorities. "In June, 1672, George Farley, Thomas Foster and William Hamle[t], being presented for breach of the ecclesiastical laws they all confess the presentment, were admonished and ordered to pay costs, 4s 6d a peece. — Middlesex County Court Records, Vol. III, p. 35."3 He died at Billerica 27 Dec 1693.1 His widow died there 27 Mar 1702.1

There are many early Woburn deeds preserved in the Woburn Public Library, a large number of which are not recorded at Cambridge. The earliest of these is that of George Farley of Billerica to Richard Snow of Woburn, dated Nov. 19, 1656.1,4

John/2 Russell Jr., of Massachusetts, received a bible in the will of Lambart Sutton of Woburn, dated 8 Nov 1649.2 John married, 31 Oct 1661, Sarah Champney of Cambridge.3

     9 Jun 1676, John Russell was appointed one of Woburn's tithingmen, "who by law are to haue the oversight of their naighbours, and see that they keepe good orders in their howses."4 Sarah Russell died his widow at Woburn 25 Apr 1696.3

     "Sewall is mistaken (Ibid, p. 157) in concluding that those persons in Woburn of Baptist sentiments remained quiescent after the troubles in 1671. They continued their agitation and heresies in spite of the admonitions and penalties of the courts."2
     "John was proprietor of a saw-mill; but having in his old age become poor, lame and helpless, he and his wife Bethiah were taken, in 1712, to Canterbury, Ct., by their sons, William and Obadiah, of that town, to maintain for life at Woburn's expense."3 Bethiah died there circa 1717.4

John Wilson Sr. first appears in 1666 upon the tax lists of Woburn, Massachusetts, where he was also numbered among those with a right in the common lands in 1668.1 He was among a group of Woburn Baptists, including his son and son-in-law, who were fined, Jun 1675, for absenting themselves from Public Worship on the Lord's days.2 He died at Woburn 2 Jul 1687.1

John Wilson, Jr. was among a group of Baptists at Woburn, Massachusetts who were fined, Jun 1675, for absenting themselves from Public Worship on the Lord's days. "See Sewall, Hist. of Woburn p. 153 et seq. and notes under Cleveland and Farley."1 His father and brother-in-law were also among those fined.2
