Ann Stedman, born circa 16703, married, as his 1st wife, circa Nov 1689 at New London, Connecticut, Benjamin/3w Lester of New London, son of Andrew/1 Lester and Hannah/2w Brooks.1 She died at New London 27 Jan 1711/12, "having been married 22 yrs, 2 mos 'and some odd days' and left 9 sons and 2 daughters."3

Children with Ann Stedman:

Benjamin/3w Lester was born in 1666 at New London, Connecticut1, where he married (1), circa Nov 1689, Ann Stedman, daughter of Thomas Stedman and Hannah Isbell.2 She died at New London 27 Jan 1711/12, "having been married 22 yrs, 2 mos 'and some odd days' and left 9 sons and 2 daughters."3 There he married (2), 10 Jun 1713, the widow Elizabeth Plumley.4 He was deceased at the time of his son Daniel's marriage, 25 Sep 1739.5,6
     "Joseph and Benjamin Lester also settled on farms in the vicinity of the town plot. The descendants of the latter are very numerous … probably other children by a second wife."7

Thomas Stedman married, as her 1st husband, 6 Aug 1668 at New London, Connecticut, Hannah Isbell, daughter of Robert Isbell.1 She married (2) John/3w Fox.2,3,4
     "This name is found at New London at the early date of 1649, but it soon afterward disappears. In 1666, Thomas Stedman is again on the list of inhabitants, living near Niantic River … Thomas Stedman, of New London, was brother of Lieut. John Stedman, of Wethersfield, who, in 1675, was commander of a company of sixty dragoons, raised in Hartford county."1
