John/1 Robbins, born in England circa 16201, married (1), 4 Nov 1659 at Branford, Connecticut, Mary (–?–), widow of Robert Abbott.1 There he married (2), 23 Jun 1670, Jane Evans, widow of John Tillotson.1 Fpllowing their marriage they moved from Branford to Lyme, where John Robins was a freeman 11 May 1671.1
     John's 2nd wife Jane died at Lyme 15 Apr 16842, and there he married (3), before 1692, Elizabeth (–?–).1 He died at Lyme circa 17011, and his son Joseph was administrator of his estate. 31 Mar 1701, son William Robbins discharged his brother Joseph Robbins of "debts, dews and or legasis" due William as his portion of their father's estate.1

Local Notes:

Property4 May 1674, Lyme, CTOn May 4, 1674 he purchased seven and one half acres in Lyme from Peter Pratt. He is shown as sheriff of Lyme in 1677, and other mention of him in Colonial records would seem to indicate that he was an attorney.1
