Children with Abigail Osborn:

Isaac/3w Fox was born 17 Oct 1657 at Concord, Massachusetts.1 His father died the following year, and Isaac was reared by his uncle Capt. Timothy/2w Brooks of Billerica and Woburn.2 George H. Fox says he took the oath of fidelity at Billerica, 1677, but the minimum age for this oath would have been 21, a threshold which Isaac had not yet reached. (Did Fox misread a double date, perhaps?)2
He married (1), 18 Jul 1678 at Billerica, Abigail Osborn, perhaps daughter of Thomas/1 and Sarah.3 They lived at Medford, where the births of 7 children are recorded.4 Sometime following the birth of their last child at Medford (1693), and before 1700 [or, says G.H. Fox, in 1698, when Isaac bought land in New London], they removed to N.L., and settled on a farm on "General Neck," south of New London village, in the immediate neighborhood of Isaac's brothers Samuel and John and sister Hannah.5,2
His wife Abigail died 12 Mar 17186, and he married (2), 4 Sep 1720, Elizabeth Beebe, daughter of John Beebe and Elizabeth York.6,7 He died at New London 5 May 1735, a. 77.7
The will of Isaac Fox, "late of New London," dated 1 Jul 1731, with codicil dated 24 Mar 1734/5, was admitted to probate 15 May 1735. It names wife Elizabeth, sons, Isaac, John, Samuel, Ebenezer and Thomas, and daughter Abigail Davis. Son Samuel and Ensign Beebe of New London were executors.6,2 J. Hempstead, Daniel Denison & Noah Lester, witnesses. Inventory, £336-5-11.2
By deed dated 9 Jan 1729/30, Isaac Fox gave land for the first Baptist meeting house in New London, of which his brother Samuel was a trustee. The building was shared by Seventh and First Day Baptists, who worshipped in it on different days. Standing on Fort Hill, and known from its height and peculiar proportions as the "Pepper Box," it was taken down in 1847.6,2
