Matthew/2 Bridge, born in Essex, England (reportedly 2 Apr 1620)1, emigrated with his father in Rev. Hooker's party to Massachusetts Bay in 1631, where they settled at Cambridge.1 There he married, 1643, Anna/2 Danforth, daughter of Nicholas/1 Danforth, and was a member of the artillery company the same year.2,3
     In 1658, Matthew, wife Anne or Anna, and five of their children were in the church at Lexington.4 He died at Lexington 28 Apr 1700, a. 805, and she 9 Dec 1704.6 They are buried in Harvard Square Cemetery, Cambridge, where his g.s. presents an extensive eulogy.2,1

Matthew/4 Bridge III, born 1 Mar 1693/94 at Lexington, Massachusetts1, there married, 24 Mar 1719, Abigail Bowman, daughter of Capt. Nathaniel Bowman and Ann Barnard.2 They moved in 1748 to Waltham, where he died 25 Mar 1761, a. 673, and she his widow 15 Jun 1785, "a. 85."4 Abigail is buried in Grove Hill Cemetery, Waltham, but I find no listing for Matthew's burial anywhere at Find A Grave.5
     "He resided in Lex. till 1748, when he moved with his family to Walt., to the ch. of which place he and his wife, together with Nathaniel and Sarah Bridge, were dismissed from the ch. of Lex. Like his father, he filled the office of selectman, town clerk, treasurer, and assessor before leaving his native place."6
